Love Me Deep
a poem
Love me deep
In the backseat of my putrid old car
But let’s hope my mother doesn’t call
And interrupt our devotion next time
For I need you hard and soft
I need you unending
Forever and ever
Love me to cassettes playing on repeat
Seats leaning back
Touch me good while I kiss your neck
On my knees
Praying for this moment to never end
Give me a reason to love you
Or don’t
I don’t actually need one
Because you could do anything to me
And I would simply never stop
I answered the phone call while
Still atop you
Begging for you to reside inside of me evermore
It was my mother
And I held a finger over your lips
Silencing our pleasure for a moment
I saw the sweat drip from your face
As she asked where I was
Who knows as the middle of nowhere
Was where we were
I hate how horrible the timing was
And how “I told you so” was the only right thing to say
As you had asked
Moments before
What she might say and there we found our answer
Yes, don’t worry, Maman. Je vais très bien.
